I’m an event strategist who thrives in complexity and believes great events are built with intention. Through Impact By Design, I partner with organizations to create accessible, attendee-first experiences that balance strategy, creativity, and seamless execution—so events don’t just run well, they make a meaningful impact.
My path into event planning wasn’t linear, but it was shaped by a consistent focus on people and experience. I studied Psychology and Sociology in college, which gave me a foundation in understanding behavior, motivation, and group dynamics. From there, I moved into hospitality, spending years working in DMV-area hotels across front desk operations and sales. That hands-on experience—combined with earning my MBA in Marketing—sharpened my ability to align business goals with thoughtful, well-designed experiences.
After my first child was born, I shifted into client-side event planning, where I could bring together everything I had learned: strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a deep appreciation for how details shape the attendee experience. Since then, I’ve focused on designing conferences, retreats, and gatherings that are not only well-organized, but also inclusive, welcoming, and intentionally structured around the people in the room.

Accessibility and inclusion are not add-ons to my process—they are foundational. I approach each project with an attendee-first mindset, considering clarity, comfort, and engagement at every stage. From logistics and vendor coordination to storytelling and flow, my goal is always the same: to create events that feel purposeful, cohesive, and considerate of diverse needs and perspectives.
Creativity is a constant thread in my work. Outside of event strategy, photography is a personal passion and creative outlet. Through my photography brand, Picture Me Traveling, I capture travel experiences and visual stories from around the world. That eye for composition, pacing, and perspective directly informs how I think about event design—how spaces are experienced, how moments unfold, and what people carry with them afterward.
I also enjoy contributing my skills locally, volunteering as a photographer for youth swim teams, producing and redesigning newsletters, and supporting Cub Scouts as a media coordinator, website administrator, and occasional Grub Master. These roles reflect the same values that guide my professional work: service, creativity, and community.
At its core, Impact By Design is about creating events with purpose—where strategy meets experience, and where every attendee feels considered. If you’re looking for a partner who brings structure, empathy, and intention to your events, I’d love to connect.
We design people-focused events with intention, handling the details so our clients can focus on their content and attendees. We do this because we believe well-designed events create connection, clarity, and a sense of belonging for everyone in the room.
Impact By Design grew from more than two decades in hospitality and event planning, shaped by hands-on experience across hotels, client-side roles, and complex events. What began as a passion for bringing order to complexity became a practice rooted in thoughtful, strategic design.
I believe well-designed events create connection, clarity, and a sense of belonging. When events are planned with care and purpose, they don’t just run smoothly—they leave people feeling considered and engaged.
